4th of July summer dresses for little girls...pageant or picnic! Ready to ship!

 

Today I am featuring festive, patriotic dresses in my Etsy shop. (You can find a link to my Etsy site in the right hand column of this blog or simply click the photo.) These dress are brand new, unworn and available in little girls sizes 18 months, 24months, 2t, 3t,  4/5, 6/8, 10/12. The dresses have a knit top with a jeweled butterfly on the front.

The bottom of the dress is a double circle skirt dress. The bottom layer is red stripes and the over layer is blue with stars. Both skirt fabrics have a bit of sparkle to them.

All edges are well finished and serged. This dress would be perfect for the 4th of July. Wear it to a picnic or a pageant for themed casual wear. Great for summer! Cute for any outing and pictures too!

Yankee Doodle Pageant Winner and custom made winning accessories!

Last weekend, Carrollton, Georgia was the site for the exciting Yankee Doodle Dandy Pageant Extravaganza of 2014.  This is a well known pageant in Georgia, so it was no surprise that there were many contestants. The judges noted (*facebook-official pageant site) that they were very impressed with the level of competition at the Yankee Doodle Dandy Extravaganza. They published comments that the competition was so good that they had a difficult time judging the pageant. Judges further noted that the competition was so outstanding that they didn't have one single child competing who was not good enough to win. Judges believed that all contestants were superb and there was not one division that had a child stand out, because they were all that good! 

Pageant officials posted on another venue that the judges had a difficult job ahead of them. I don't know anyone who attended the pageant that wouldn't attest to that being true. All the competitors were beautiful. The patriotic theme was indeed celebrated.

This was a double crown pageant, so competitors could win Queen, as well as several other titles.

While Bella Sera Boutique wishes to congratulate all competitors, there is one special little lady that certainly "stood out" in the judges eyes and deserves a special commendation: Overall Queen in the 0-4 age group was little Miss Kennedy.

She wowed the judges, impressively winning not just overall queen but also 1st Runner Up, Photogenic Winner, Swimwear Winner, Best Patriotic Wear, and Early Entry! Now folks, that is impressive, to be sure. Here are but a few of Miss Kennedy's lovely feature pictures:

Bella Sera Boutique was a proud sponsor of Miss Kennedy, designing some of her pageant accessories. Kennedy wore them well, just as she did her beautiful overall queen's crown. Have you ever seen such a beautiful little winner? What a pretty smile!

It was a pleasure to work with the beautiful little Kennedy and her sweet mother for this pageant. Though this was not Miss Kennedy's first pageant, I am certain that the pageant world will be seeing a lot more of this little doll. She is sure to win more pageants!

Happy Memorial Day! Celebrate with Red, White and Blue Socks!

Today, we celebrate Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Memorial Day Celebration.....and A Contest!!

When most people think of Memorial Day, what comes to mind is probably patriotic music, speeches, picnics and lots of American flags. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died serving our country and for those who actively do so every day from both within our borders and across the world. I hope you had a chance to both celebrate and honor our veterans, both fallen and active, in some way. Our soldiers give the ultimate sacrifice for us and they deserve our complete support. They protect Americans and give aid to people around the world. I also think it is important to remember all those families who have lost their precious loved ones, the soldiers who died or were injured protecting our great nation. I am glad we celebrate Memorial Day, but I also believe we, as Americans, need to take time all year long to do what we can to support and aid our soldiers in their heroic efforts. The item to be won will be a collection of  6 handmade crocheted flower's with attached leaves.  The flower will either be attached to a pin or pony-o or can be used just for applique. You can attach them to anything.
